I Heart DCB
So Andrew and I had a busy and tiring weekend. It was a good weekend but tiring never-the-less. We'll pretty much be wiped out on the plane to London on Friday which works for us an the 10 hour flight!
Saturday was an all day Volley-ball tourney which my department hosted at the Kroc center in SF. Competition was intense and other than the refs not knowing how to ref, we had a grand 'ol time. I would have jumped in to ref but it was a conflict of interest as Sunnyvale made it to the final against the Asian American Corps. We lost anyway though! The guys were so gassed by the 3rd game that we all wiped out on the church pews when we got back.
As in young adult tradition, we went and got many packs of meat and sides and started grilling sam-gyup-sal and cha-dul-bae-gi at church. Top it off with ice cream and a movie, "Ramen Girl". P.S. I don't really recommend this one but it was a $1 rental so whatever.
Sunday, the usual, but then we were craving Japanese ramen so all of us went to have lunch in Mountain View at a great little place. Authentic and yummy.
Sunday night we drove 2 hours to Sacramento (Andrew and I) to see the David Crowder Band concert. It was at a church and we made it 10 minutes before the opening act started. Thankfully, we could not find a seat and were allowed to sit to the side of the stage. It was GREAT and I couldn't be happier. They have a new band member, Steve 3P0, a programmed Robot drum set to add layers of beats in without splitting their drummer in 3 parts. They were humble, funny and worshipful as usual and Andrew and I had an awesome time. I've got lots of videos from it so I'll upload it in time (I'm really behind on this). 2 hours back to the South Bay and finally crashed in my bed at 1am. Dude, we're sooooo tired!
