Fall
Loving the fall but hating that I don't see leaves falling yet. There are leaves falling all the time during the year in Cali but they don't have the nice hues of Toronto foliage. Alas...what can you do right?
Less than 2 weeks to go and we're off to London! I'm super excited but really, there is so much to plan still. This is no all-inclusive trip after all! After searching for the top "chippies" (fish n'chip) dives online and looking at all the Flickr pics of Borough Market, I'm about ready to move to England. Andrew said we could move there if I wanted but I'd have to make sure I could support the two of us with my job. Well, there goes that dream! I live with a cynic folks.
So last night Andrew asked me what I would say if I were given the power to go back in time and tell myself one thing, knowing that I would totally listen to myself. First of all, he always asks life's most intimate questions right when I'm about to fall asleep. Secondly, that's an oxymoron in itself because I have a chronic non-listening sickness that I have yet to find the cure for. Anyway, I responded to my now-wishing-he-had-never-asked-husband with a good handful:
1. Boys are overrated.
2. Spend wisely because debt SUCKS.
3. You're pretty much a genius and should start believing it. Go kick some nerdy (and in my case - FOBBY) butt in school!
4. Have more confidence in yourself because you deserve nothing but the best.
5. God loves you and has greater plans for you than you could even think about.
6. Antidepressants are the Devil.
7. Letting people help you is NOT a sign of weakness.
8. Feed a man some fish AND teach him how to catch the suckers too! (metaphor I'm hoping you will understand)
9. Less is more.
10. Pray without ceasing.
To be honest, I think almost all of these were told to me by people as I grew older. My problem is that my non-listening malady was relentless in my formative years.
