Feeling Faint

I feel faint – I had to suck in my breath and brace myself literally. I make it a point never to check out our bank statements. I think it's better for my heart and easier on my already burdened mind (hee hee). Even more, I make it a point to never look at credit card statements. Hubby handles that and I’m quite happy to oblige.

Today, I had to prove that I purchased something work related for reimbursement so I was required to get online and print a record of my last AMEX statement. Seeing all our purchases and total due amount knocked the wind out of me and made Andrew quite happy. He thinks I need to see those ugly numbers more often because in the past 6 months our spending has doubled...cripes!

I will tighten my belt but DANG – I’m very thankful for my spend thrift and budgeting husband because I’d probably be drowning in bills by now!

P.S. This is also why dad approved of our marriage - because he was glad to hand over the financial burnden that is moi over to someone who is capable of handling it ;)
