Updates and Wizzies!
So wedding things are really rolling now – things are kinda just falling into place and Andrew and I have been blessed beyond measure. Andrew’s won us a 3 night stay at a Wyndham Hotel in Napa Valley or Lake Tahoe – exciting! He’s also got the visa required to get US citizenship – crazy. I’ve been offered a handful of jobs without even doing any interviews – sweet – interviews make me nervous! The wedding cake is beautiful and I get to help decorate it. I know it sounds crazy but it’ll keep my cost down and I’ll get to learn some tricks of the wedding décor trade. My grandmother stayed with us over the weekend which was the highlight for sure. It’s been great just spending time as a family and really learning about each others lives. I’m truly blessed.
Good and bad – so I went to the dentist for the first time in my whole entire life on Tuesday. Boy was I scared. The Dr. is super nice and was referred to me by Jude – see blog below. He was amazed that at the age of 27, with no visits to the dentist, that I have ZERO cavities and have very pretty teeth (they’re just kinda shifted but that can be fixed later). That is the good.
The bad – I have two wisdom teeth on the bottom of my mouth that must come out. Aiyah. He said he’d have so cut the gum, crack the teeth in half, yank them out, pack in the gaps and stitch them up. So next Friday morning – 9am – bye bye wisdom teeth. Then that evening I’m going to my good friend Godfrey’s Nigerian wedding ceremony, and then at midnight over to Chapters to get the 7th Harry Potter book....woo hoo! Anyhoo, in high school I gave Godfrey a really hard time, teasing him sooo much when he got his wizzies extracted. He told me that one day I’d see and he’d be the one laughing – he truly is – how ironic eh?
