Sick?
Sigh...I'm currently at home, halfway through cleaning our apartment.I had to take a break because I'm feeling quite under the weather.
Listening to Diana Krall and falling asleep really.
I am a big fan of Cold FX and have high hopes that it will come through for me again tonight.
Working with little kids in very close proximity every day means that I'm surrounded by germs, snot and unwashed hands all the time grabbing at my hands, face and hair. Yikes! So I'm shocked that I didn't get sick this summer but today was a different story.
I was feeling fine this morning. Then one of my staff was very sick and said she had th chills and other symptoms today. Then one of this kids I was working with had a very runny nose. He sits next to me on my right hand side while I help him with homework and tutoring. Then the little girl on my right, whom I also work closely with, was coughing up a storm.
I went to dinner with another co-worker and it was pretty cold in the restaurant. We stayed there for quite some time. I got home and have been feeling the chills ever since.
Am I a hypochondriac? One of my throat glands, behind and below the jawline, is now swollen. It was just a matter of time but I'm feeling pretty ill now. Andrew likes to tell me that sickness is just mind over matter.
I like to pour my VERY lactose intolerant husband a glass of milk, hand it to him and tell him, "mind over matter honey - drink up." I love it when I can trump him.
