Merry Christmas

Well, we've had a wonderful Christmas this year and I couldn't feel more blessed.
Christmas Eve was spent just hanging around with my hubby in our apartment. Sounds boring but it is such a rarity that we get to do something as simple as that! Just talking, laughing and enjoying the simple things in life.

Christmas Day in San Francisco for lunch with friends Jen, Thijs and Rashim. I love that Asian places are always open on holidays so that we can enjoy things like Sushi and Katsu every day of the year! Watched Sherlock Holmes in a theater brimming with people and their loved ones. The best part was that since the theater was in Jen's neighbourhood of ministry, she got to see some of the kids she has pastored over the years. To see a child dropping everything to run and give her a hug was a blessing to me. We ended off the night with friends Brian and Michelle eating sam-gyup-sal (korean grilled pork belly) and playing GoStop (Korean card game).

Day after Christmas, as if we didn't eat a lot already?! I had the idea of going to check out all the unique and highly recommended places to eat in the Bay Area in one day. Nothing super pricey, but places where we could just step in, grab a quick bite and be on our way to the next place. It was the perfect outing for our Corps young adults. We spent the entire day in San Fran, Oakland, San Mateo and ended up at our place. Needless to say, we ate some great things but I enjoyed just hanging out with them.

Come Sunday morning at 4am, I departed my home, drove into Pacifica, picked up some people to take them to the SF airport by 5:30am. Why you ask? URBANA! Our divisional delegates were flying out to St. Louis to participate in a mission focused conference with over 16,000 people registered. I was sad to be at the airport and not flying out with them myself but was blessed to see the excitement on their faces so early in the morning. We prayed before they left and nothing makes you more appreciative of the morning when it's started with prayer.

Church, sermon, worship, Bible study, fellowship, watching movies and eating even more food with our young adults was how the rest of my day went. Frankly, I was tired out of my mind, but happily tired and would do it all over again if I could. =)

Merry Christmas
