Lazy Weekend

Andrew and I have finally had a weekend together and are spending it just enjoying each other's company. I've been crazily travelling across mid-California doing Youth related events as well as the usual office work. Andrew's been hard at work himself and you'd think we'd take it easy right? Of course not.

We caught a Jay's game in Oakland yesterday. I find that the difference between the Oakland stadium and the Giant's stadium is that the A's stadium is more of the working class place to be. It's more personable, there's a bunch of tailgating parties going on, much more beer (more selection and no limits on quantity), and strangers have friendly banter as they sit and enjoy the Saturday afternoon game. Sure, it's supposedly the worst stadium in the MLB whilst the Giant's have the #1 stadum - AT&T Park. But I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself because of the crowd, even though everyone knew we were rooting for Canada. We had great seats behind home plate however, I ended up with sunburnt shoulders and arms!

After the game we hit up the North Face outlet, managed to find the ONLY place in Northern California that sells frozen beef patties (Jamaican Beef Patties), bought a case of 50 (not sharing!), some Grace brand hot sauce for Andrew, and headed back home for dinner. We then watched the Star Trek movie in the theatre and it was fantastic. We are trekkies but anyone would enjoy this one.

Today was our mother's day service and now we're having a lazy afternoon. Andrew's looking into potential GPSes for us and watching the Jays, online this time. Life has to slow a bit before it hit's crazy mode again right?
