Would You?

So someone asked me to buy a coke for him today.

I came back with the coke and change.

Apparently there was a Canadian penny in the change.

He said, "Ewwww - You can take back your stupid Canadian penny! It's worthless here and I don't want it! YOU go spend it somewhere!"

I THINK it was meant to be said as a joke but then he proceeded to throw the copper coin at me.

It landed on the ground half a meter away from me.

I was furious.

Would you pick it up?

It took all of my patience to turn around and look at him.

I asked, "Really? Did you just throw change at me? Seriously?"

He said, "Yeah - hahaha" with a sheepish grin.

I'm sure he then noticed that my face read that I wasn't happy.

Would you pick it up?

I looked at the ground and could have probably burned a hole in it with my stare.

I picked up the penny, put it on the desktop.

Clenched my jaw and turned back to my work.
