Mid-Summer
Have been having a great time so far, although running a mile a minute as usual! June was all camp camp camp. We have had very full camps this summer and staff from all over who have brought a wealth of talent and experience. Seen especially just this past week as we completed a 9 day music and worship arts camp. The kids in our division are talented, but more than that, CUTE.
I had one kid, a chubawub David, sing one of my choir songs telling me, "I like the tune, it's catchy. I miss music camp." Hahaha, me too, me too.
Got to stop momentarily in Toronto for Andrew's best friend's wedding (Brian and Liz). It was beautiful, simple and sweet. Outdoor venues are always gorgeous and the rain let up just enough for some gorgeous photos.
I also got to visit with my grandmother in Fort Erie, drive by Niagara Falls, pick up some Maple Walnut fudge (waaaay too sugary for my liking, have dinner with Andrew's family, stop by THQ to pick up a few items, and yes... we hit up the Harry Potter exhibit at the Ontario Science center. WOOT. Apparently my brother is in Ravenclaw - at least that's what the sorting hat said. Hahaha.
I miss Toronto but this time 'round, the one thing I was reminded of that I do not miss is the totally HUMID weather. It was a sticky crazy mess and my hair (for the first time ever) turned into a frizzy hairball. I now know what everyone is complaining about!
Enjoying 3 days of being home. I have lots to do but to be honest, I just want to take time for myself and think about it later!
