Toronto - SF - CAMP
So I'm back from Toronto and had a good few quiet moments with family before leaving. My neice, Faith, is so big now and thankfully she still loves me - maybe because I'm the crazy silly aunt. Although, if someone who is prettier in her eyes walks in the room, I'm leftover rice (as the Koreans would say).
Dad is dad. Still secretly loving spending time with me. Still childlike. Still a prayer warrior. Still a rock. The family is going through some changes now since Kev is graduated and looking for a job, Kristen is finishing her first year of teaching and figuring out what next, and my step-mom trying to balance work and family. I pray that God watches over them as they continue to work for Him.
I've been trying to get our camp stuff together for the summer. I officially move into my camp apartment on Monday and it will be a full on week and a half of training and then 6 camps from there on in. I'm the Christian Education director plus Alpha mentor (the teens/leaders in training) so I've got my work cut out for me. I wish I had more time to prep but you know how these things work. Plus I've got to interview 16 kids and sit in on 2 Sunday School classes in order to complete my assignments for my class. The first one is due June 15th - YIKES!
Please pray for our summer camp as there will be many unchurched children coming through and I want more than anything for them to leave knowing Jesus Christ as their Saviour and friend. Please pray for the leaders that they might be the salt and light to these children. Please pray for their families that they too will see the impact that Jesus Christ has on their children and themselves.
