Visitors
So I was up at our Divisional Music Camp for 10 days and I'm happy to say that we survived...the food, that is. =P
Special guests were our new Territorial Music Leaders, Marjorie and Stuart Watson. Scottish - and we all know I love the Scottish! Also visiting was our new Divisional Music Director, Paul Williams, hailing from London, but also has a Scottish accent. Hahaha...feeling right at home. I look forward to working with them in the future as they are absolutely hilarious and uber talented to boot.
As soon as I got back, our friends, Jeff & Beth from Kitchener, came to visit us from Sat to Thurs. Beth was even gracious enough to make dinner for us from scratch. The funniest thing about all of this is that I had not cooked in so long that I couldn't figure out where to put away some of my clean pots and pans. Oh man, am I in dire need of a break or what?
Li'l sis, Kris, also is here. WOOT. Came on the Sunday when Jeff and Beth were here and she's now settled into SF for a month with a view of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Lucky Duck. Lucky me that I get to have my sister somewhat close by for the next 4 weeks.
We got to visit with Andrew's good friend Roger last night as he was in Berekely for a conference to defend his paper/thesis/research. It was a short visit but we hope to see him soon...maybe at Stanford for a post doctorate!
Kris is currently knocked out on our couch as I write this and earlier, we asked dad if he was bored without his two daughters around to harrass him. He laughed and admitted that things were on the dry side in T.O.
Next week we have Andrew's long time buddy and best man, Brian, visiting with his girlfriend, Liz. We are so blessed with the gift of travel these days and are elated that we get to see all these people whom we have missed and love. It's been hard with my work schedule to do much together with everyone but Andrew's worked around it so at least we have somewhat of a balance.
Now if only I could get my dad down here to visit...
