Early Morning Prayer
So....our Captains have given me a "challengement" as they like to call it. I like to tell them that's not a word. Then I get a look from them as if they're thinking God should smite me =O. jk.
Every morning 6am Tues-Sat we have early morning prayer. Due to studying and the fact that i'm in office later than everyone else (9am-10pm) I choose to opt out of this 6am prayer more often than not. It's a challenge when the alarm blares at you at 5:45am and your sleeping husband who just got home from work at 1am is not happy with you. The sad thing is that I pride myself in being and early bird and then, right as I open my big mouth I get this. Dang - this is a whole different kind of early. Humbling? I think so.
ANYHOO...We have a 20-something day campaign that started off at the end of Feb and will continue until Easter. Good Friday/Saturday 12am to be precise. So because of this, my "challengement" has been to be there because I was told it would make me look bad to the other corps members if we're doing the campaign and the Youth Pastor wasn't there.
Funny enough, if they told me to go because there is a campaign for 20 some-odd days, I would have gone anyway. I hate the idea of praying early in the morning to save face - but I do appreciate all the value in early morning prayer...BUT thank goodness they didn't make it at 4am.
So, although I should have posted this earlier, I'm sincerely sorry and I have been praying for all the people, friends, ministries, that I can possibly think of. To help me out in being more specific, I would love to take on your prayer requests. Something to be thankful for, something you need answers or guidance for, something to get off your chest. It's not that my prayers work better in the morning, but I have to focus more and have less distractions at that time of the day.
Pass them along to me and if you still have them after Good Friday, keep them coming...it's not like i'm going to quit after Easter! Ok...well maybe just the every day early morning stuff (I still make it out periodically!).
Blessings
