In a Nutshell

So for the past few weeks it’s been go, go, go. When is it not though?
Here’s a recap…
Andrew’s dad is in the hospital, and recovering from spinal surgery. He’s in great spirits as he feels that he’s gone through the worst and things that only get better. His surgery was on April 23rd at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga. Andrew’s mom has been going there every day as soon as she’s off work and I have been going periodically too. She must be exhausted and I’d just ask for everyone’s prayers for strength, energy and a speedy recovery. His dad is just in the long term care area now and will be doing physiotherapy every day until they feel that he will be ok on his own.
This Saturday at the hospital, I parked, visited and came out of the parking lot with a nicely-sized dent on the passenger side of my car. Not a scratch. A dent. I guess someone had rushed out of their car carelessly and took off. I’m irked…very irked.
We are searching for new EM pastor candidates to replace me. I’m just praying that we’ll find someone to match this congregation and push it forward spiritually and in fellowship. I’m afraid that because everyone involved has different ideas of what kind of EM pastor we’re looking for, we’re going to miss out on what God really intends for us.
It’s been announced to my office that I’m leaving the company and that my last day is August 3rd. Woohoo!
I’ve got my second wisdom tooth trying to push up to the surface…I really understand what Faith must be feeling in the teething process. Ouch! I don’t think it has to be removed as I still have some space…then again maybe it’s my fear of having to get them removed that is making me bear the pain.
Hae Ja, Faith, Sang and Le along with a whole entourage are traipsing across South Korea at the moment, full of yummy Korean food and then sweating it out since it’s 30 degrees Celsius now. Faith has the runs…probably from adjusting to the difference in water and food. Just pray that their second week which will be spent in Seoul will be adventurous and worry-free!
This leaves me doing the cooking at home. Mind you, I’ve slacked off from cooking up a storm which I usually do. With going back and forth from work, to church, to hospital, to classes and such, there isn’t enough time. Dad’s taking it easy too so no complaints! (Plus I’m taking him out for lobster on my birthday so he’s looking forward to that)
Wedding planning is on the back burner…I haven’t had the time to do anything really productive to help it progress. I’m hoping for a fairy godmother to sweep down and do it all for me…hahaha…no Lana, I don’t mean you unless you want to foot the bill too =) !
